Howard's work is directly inspired by the world around him… Everyday things inspire him. People inspire him. Life inspires him. Howard grew up in Rhodesia, and cites the experiences he had there as one of the key influences on his work. The imagery of the environment, the animals, the colours, the culture; pretty much everything during his time there had a profound effect on him.

His parents brought him up to question everything and everybody which made him keenly inquisitive about people and the world around him and he draws his inspiration from asking those questions and trying to answer them in his work.

Another major influence throughout his work is the connection to imagery through films. Often seduced by the imagery, Howard related it to what he would see in his everyday life; he see's in "still images"; Nature, Injustice and Light and Dark. These are common themes in his work.

Howard will be displaying his work at an exhibition in the 3rd quarter of 2014.
